Sometimes a doodle can turn into an expansive design. And oftentimes a doodle can turn into a think piece.
This illustrated passion project embodies a facet of my sentiments toward the digital realme, as a lover of both analog and digital praxis. What do we lose? But what do we gain? I recently noticed a transformative shift in the textile landscape. In an era where digital demands are reshaping traditional industries, I am urged to explore how my art will find different ways to materialize. So I explored this relationship of process and utility, juxtaposed by the trivialization of joy as it all relates to the "making" of things.
It's undeniable: the conventional boundaries of textiles are expanding beyond the analog, the tangible. I feel called to embrace these shifts, and to demonstrate the ways that digital advancements are revolutionizing the way we conceive, create, and integrate patterns.
